  • Car Size and Design: Larger cars and vehicles with complex body lines require more vinyl. Curved panels, wide bumpers, and detailed edges increase surface area and trimming needs.
  • Wrap Type: A full wrap covers every painted surface, while a partial wrap only includes select areas such as the hood, roof, or accents. Naturally, partial wraps use less material.
  • Film Finish and Stretch: Different vinyl finishes vary in flexibility. Textured, metallic, and carbon-fiber wraps are thicker and less stretchable, which may increase waste during application.
  • Installer Skill: Professional installers use vinyl efficiently, while beginners should plan an additional 10–15% to allow for mistakes or trimming.
  • Body Accessories: Spoilers, mirrors, side skirts, and bumpers add extra surface area. Measure these parts separately to ensure full coverage.

How to Calculate Vinyl for Your Car

If you want a more precise estimate, use this simple method:

  1. Measure your car’s length and average height in meters.
  2. Multiply the two numbers to estimate total surface area.
  3. Divide the result by 1.52 (the standard roll width in meters).
  4. Add 10–20% for overlaps, curves, and trimming.

Example:
A sedan measuring 4.7 m long and 1.4 m high →
4.7 × 1.4 = 6.58 m² ÷ 1.52 ≈ 4.3 m of film per side.
Double that for both sides, then add the roof, hood, and bumpers for a total of about 18–20 meters.

I’m extremely disappointed with the quality of this wrap material. I’ve worked with a variety of vinyl brands, and this is by far the worst I’ve used. The film does not lay properly, especially in areas that require any amount of stretch. It consistently lifts and peels back, even after proper prep, heat, and multiple attempts to set it. This isn’t an installation issue, it’s a material failure. The vinyl lacks the conformability and adhesive performance expected for vehicle wraps. Because of this, the final result is not acceptable, and I’m now in a position where I may have to redo the entire job at my own expense. I’ve documented the issues with photos and will be reaching out directly, but this level of quality is not something I can stand behind as a professional installer. I’m requesting a resolution, whether that’s a replacement roll of higher-quality material or reimbursement. I take pride in my work, and this product made it impossible to deliver the standard I aim for.

Color is great But if this is your first time wrapping a car Good luck! I wouldn’t get it if your new to wrapping but if you have wrapped a car b4 then this color and wrap is doable Just a heads up this wrap is really tacky 3m or Avery goes on way easier But overall colors is great and only thing I would complain about is that how they ship it was trash. Box was bent and plastic. Stan was cracked and had so much moisture inside. Other than that it was great

Candy Metallic Dark Gray Blue vinyl wrap is a powder blue car wrap with a grey cast, a soft, muted steel blue under a pearl gloss. Despite the name, it reads light rather than dark, closer to a heritage powder blue than a navy.

The pearl keeps it understated. In flat light it sits as a soft grey-blue, direct light lifts it toward a cleaner powder blue while shade greys it down, so it shifts in brightness more than in hue. It's the calm, factory-looking blue in the range rather than a loud or dark one, which is part of why it sits so well on classic and sports-car shapes.
